Today, I brought out my big-girl camera and took photos. I had a late lunch at a cafe inside the Tuileries and walked all around the garden and then north until I realized I was close to the Madeleine and could check that out while I was nearby. There are a ton of subjects I could take photos of: children, lovers, buildings, flowers, etc. Unfortunately I’m still a bit shy with my camera, so a hodge-podge will have to do.
Some things I saw that I was too slow to take photos of:
- Three roller-blading on-duty police
- Disheveled man carrying his Siamese cat over his shoulder down the street
- Little girl screaming at a crow
- Tons of of kids jumping on a public trampoline park (not too slow, just thought that was too creepy to take photos of…)
Photography friends – I was going for more over-exposed photos, as I generally like brighter shots, but I found that the preview on my camera made them look less over-exposed than they were once I uploaded them. Any tricks to getting that viewfinder/preview to display what your photo actually looks like? I’m using a Canon T3i, these are with the kit lens.
